Applicant background

In August 2016, Mr. K found AIDE during his stay in Melbourne while visiting his son who is studying at the University of Melbourne at the time. He explained to the immigration consultant his willingness and intention of applying for a business innovation and investment visa and told the consultant that he had a refusal record for a business innovation and investment visa previously.

Difficulties in applying

• Had been previously refused a business innovation and investment visa.

• The visa case officer had an overall bad impression regarding the applicant and questions about the background and validity of applicants’ supporting documents.

Application process

With a keen desire for migration, Mr. K who had been previously refused a visa found AIDE. Our migration consultant explained and answered all questions Mr. K had with patience, and a thorough evaluation of Mr.K’s circumstance has been carried out against key criteria for a Business Innovation and Investment Visa. The consultant believes that Mr. K is still eligible for the 188A visa. Therefore, Mr. K submitted the EOI and the state government nomination application with the help of our consultant in October 2016 and was later approved in November. Subsequently, a senior local accountant in Melbourne was arranged by AIDE to conduct an audit to assist Mr.k sort and manage relevant financial materials and documents.

Since Mr. K had a refusal record, he received an email from the visa case officer requesting additional information. To help Mr. K achieve his migration purpose, 8 in-depth statements were written by consultants and specific evidence was provided as supplementary materials to eliminate the doubts of the case officer. Finally, Mr. K's business investment visa (188A) was approved as expected on 26th September 2017.
