Migration (Specification of Occupations and Assessing Authorities—Subclass 186 Visa) Amendment Instrument (LIN 21/009) 2021 - F2021L00294 amends LIN 19/049 by updating skills assessing authorities for several occupations for Subclass 186 Direct Entry applications.
The amendments in this Instrument apply to applications made on or after 24 March 2021 for Reg 186.234(2)(a).
Assessments conducted by a former assessing authority before the instrument commenced will continue to meet Reg 186.234(2)(a) for applications made on or after the instrument commences.
Assessments conducted by a former assessing authority will be accepted as an assessment from a specified assessing authority for a period of up to 3 years after it is made, or until the assessment expires, whichever comes first.
The changes related to the Institute of Leaders and Managers and for Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists are changes of name only for the previous assessing authorities.
The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority replaces Trades Recognition Australia as the skills assessing authority for childcare centre managers.
The Podiatry Board of Australia replaces the Australia and New Zealand Podiatry Accreditation Council Limited as the skills assessing authority for podiatrists.
